You are summoned to a meeting of Runwell Parish Council at the Village Hall on Monday 11th May 2026 at 7.00pm for the purpose of transacting the following business:

  1. Election of a Chairman

  1. Declarations of Interest – All Members are reminded that they must disclose any interests they know they have in items of business on the meeting’s agenda and that they must do so at this point on the agenda or as soon as they become aware of the interest. They are also obliged to notify the Monitoring Officer of the interest within 28 days of the meeting if they have not previously notified her about.

 

  1. Public participation session with respect to items on the agenda and other matters of mutual interest.
    (In accordance with The Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960, members of the public wishing to address the Council can do so during the public Forum). The meeting will adjourn for questions from the members of the public. The Council will first hear from Councillors and then from the public. (Maximum time allowed for this section is 15 minutes)
    Please note: In accordance with The Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960, the public may be excluded by resolution whenever publicity would be prejudicial to the public interest by reason of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted.

Appointment of : Responsible Financial Officer and Proper Officer; Appointment of Internal Auditors (Council & Independent); Allotments Representative; Website Manager; Social Media Manager; Runwell Roundabout Editor; St Luke’s Park Representative; Appointment of Representatives for Highways & Transport, Police Liaison, School Liaison/Governors, Public Rights of Way and Health & Safety Officer.

  2. Planning applications received up to date
    (i) 26/00411/FUL – 7 Windsor Gardens – Proposed: Demolition of existing conservatory. New single storey rear extension with replacement roof and new roof light.
    (ii) 26/05079/TPO – 4 Burr Close – Proposed: G4 (labelled T1 on site plan) – Oak – Reduce to clear the property by 2m, pruning to suitable growing points only. Reason – Overhanging property.
    (iii) 26/05080/TPO – 2 Gate Field – Proposed: G5 – 1x Cypress (labelled 518 on site plan) – Fell. Reason – its poor/sparse form and being crowded out by adjacent trees.
    G5 – 1x Cypress (labelled 1 on site plan) – Crown reduction by up to 3m. Reason – To manage the trees size due to its proximity to the property and increase light to the garden.
    G5 – 1x Cypress (labelled 2 on site plan) Fell. Reason – its poor/sparse form and being crowded out by adjacent trees.
    (iv) 26/03200/NAMPRO – Land adjacent Highover Cottage – Proposed name: Maycroft.
    (v) 26/05090/TPO – 126 St Luke’s Way – Proposed: T5 (T1 on map) Large Oak – Located on land next to 126 St Lukes Way – Reduce whole crown by 2.5m. Reason: Too large for its location ans there is cavity running along the trunk.
  3. Village Hall
    (i) To review the quotations from contractors for a boiler No. 2 repair.
    (ii) To review the quotations from contractors for internal hall redecoration.
